Every night as you are falling asleep imagine that you are an architect and you are building the body you want piece by piece. You have to nourish the inner aspect. You have to be a warrior, a diva, a super star! Do you think Angelina Jolie walks around with a negative attitude about herself? Do you think she says “I suck” to herself? NO! You can’t be a successful as Angelina Jolie and have that kind of self defeating inner dialog.

Create inner dialog that enables you to bring the body you want into existence. Most people completely neglect the mental aspect of a weight loss or makeover and go straight for the crazy cardio classes. Use the power of your mind to reinvent yourself into the person you want and deserve to be! You can create a magical life. You just have to do it in a mindful, logical way. Don’t burn yourself out by getting all cracked out on cardio for two weeks while not spending a second on mental and inner strength. Because if you don’t focus on mental and inner strength you will not be able to get past how terrible your body is going to feel after two weeks of crazy cracked out cardio (which by the way isn’t even the best fat loss exercise!)

    no, this has nothing to do with outside appearances at all. this is my point. when one is suffering from very low self esteem and confidence issues, it is actually quite difficult for them to visualize themselves as a strong person (mentally not physically). however, when we can use an “archetypal” person to imagine what a strong, confident person feels like, the person will in fact begin to adopt those traits. thanks for the comment and allowing me to elaborate on that :) xo, erin

    I agree with the inner aspect totally. I have to object to the way you described visualizing cuz I am always uneasy about comparing peoples appearances. I’ve always felt that the biggest obstacle to health is the judgment of a people’s value based on the shapes of body parts. Seems kind of cruel.
