Just about a month ago I had to send off my laptop for a repair. I bought it on January 1st of 2010 and in June of 2011 it started to have problems with the screen having a green staticky appearance that would go away if I shook the screen. Of course over time it continued to get worse, and eventually I was left with no choice but to seek repair. Luckily I had chosen to purchase a protection plan, since my laptop was outside of the manufacturer's warranty at this point. I had the monitor cable replaced at absolutely no charge to me!
