I am trying to lose weight and gain muscle how should I?

I am 5’10" 248 and trying to slim to about 190 or 180, with muscle. So far I eat and run, to burn 1000 calories, and I am thinking that once a week I should do only one muscle group like arms,and alternate, so what kind of protein and how much should I consume. I am thinking that about 2-3 large egg whites before work out is enough.Should I also take after, which is better taking it before or after, or both. If my age is a factor, I am 16.

The more muscle you build, the more your weight will increase. But the muscle will also help burn fat later, it just wont be noticable right away. You will see a gain prior to a loss if you are working out to build muscle.

    okay…you should do cardio workout 3-5 times a week…eat less junk food.. and eat plenty of water and vegetables….cardio workout can help you burn alot of calories fast…and you also gain muscles.
    you could look for the bigggest loser workout dvd…it really gets you sweating

    hey there first you must think do i really want to do this like your thinking about sex
    and if you say yes than you must think why am i doing this it could be a girl you like or something else and you must KEEP THE COMMIETMENT i would start with some simple stuff like sit ups anmd push ups maybe do 10 sit ups and 20 push ups at the begging work for the whole week and take the weekend off tol let your musles repair themself WARINIG IF YOU KEEP DOING IT AND DONT GIVE YOUR SELF A 2 DAY MAX BREAK YOU COULD SEROUSLY HURT YOURSELF

    ok the proieten egg whites are good if you fo it before workout
    but i would consider a easyer why is just getting protein mix and drinking them they give you more energy and more protein 1 cup before dont do it afte ror that leads to stoumach cramps and dang boy they hurt.

    also running wont really help you gain musles on your arms and get killer abs
    you need some wheight am suggesting your in high school so you should have a wheight class if you don ti guess its okay. ill be your personal trainer if you want.
