If You Can't Get pregnant, Don't Despair
Sunday, March 21st, 2010Many women who can't get pregnant blame themselves and feel angry, overwhelmed and sad. It is my belief, that during these trying moments, you really need love, understanding and even a shoulder to cry on. The aim of this article is to help you find answers.

It is a difficult and isolating time for couples trying to cope with fertility problems. It is difficult to express to the majority of people what a despondent feeling you can have when you can't get pregnant. There are so many emotions that play into this subject and unless you have been there, there is no way to appreciate completely what it is like to want a baby, but every month, face the reality that you will still have to wait.
I do understand what you are going through as I have been there myself. In fact, I am still there. I'm writing this to give expression to the way I feel in the hope that other women will find a safe place where they can read this and say, “YES, I feel the same way.” Or, “Finally, someone who understands!”.
After years of trying I still can't get pregnant. I find it difficult to really talk about it. Discussion typically results in well meaning but ill-informed people offering unwanted advice.
We know about IVF and other fertility treatments. But these are so expensive. And so is adoption.
So what do we do in the mean time? Well, we've decided to go for testing. We'll both be assessed. What if it's me that has the problem? What if I am the reason we can't get pregnant? Will my husband be upset with me? A baby is important to him too. And if my husband's fertility is the problem? Will I be resent him? Will he cope? Will his masculinity be threatened? These are all the questions that fill my mind….constantly.

Naturally, hope springs eternal. We are going to attempt all we can to get pregnant. After all, we don't know why we can't get pregnant, so perhaps something as simple as eating certain foods to make you more fertile will help. Other inexpensive possibilities include:
• Fertility Foods: I've been reading a lot about certain types of food actually assisting you to conceive. If the body is missing a vital nutrient, it could well interfere with fertility .
• Stop Drinking Coffee-Ovulation is adversely affected by caffeine. It is time to quit the habit.
• Change Clothing: This was another new concept to me, but apparently if men wear tight clothing, it can reduce their sperm count.
• Acupuncture: Although more expensive than the above options, it is infinitely cheaper than other fertility treatments. {If nothing else, perhaps I can start to be more relaxed}. The anxiety that I can't get pregnant is really beginning to have an impact.
My sister-in-law recently had a baby boy and she credited her success to Pregnancy Miracle. She swears by it. I recently read a review of Pregnancy Miracle and it looks good.
I want you to know that you're not alone. When you can't get pregnant, it's difficult to remember to give thanks for the good things in life. Above all else, the intent of this article is to restore your hope .
